Traveling Abroad

Whenever I travel abroad I get the strong urge to cancel my life in the US, move there and start new. I recently went on a trip to Spain and let me tell you the URGE was strong and alive. Spain is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. I explored Barcelona and Madrid, along with small neighboring cities. The country is so rich with history, it felt like every building had a story.

I felt like my life was a movie as I strolled the streets of Barcelona(Cheetah Girls maybe?? IYKYK). I didn’t want this moment to end. For the first time in a while I finally felt at peace. The consuming negative and worrying thoughts in my head disappeared completely. As the vacation came to an end I started to dread reality. How could I go back to my boring 9 to 5 life after THIS! I was destined to be a travel blogger or influencer I thought to myself, as I’m assuming many of us do from time to time. But of course life isn’t fair and I did have to come back to my actual life. It was pretty brutal not going to lie. I’m still kind of in a fog not wanting to believe the adventure is over and I have to clock in to my 9 to 5 again. Although I am grateful for my 9 to 5 as it allowed me to fund the trip lol(silver linings my friends).

Traveling and experiencing new things in my opinion is the best part of life( for me rn as a 25 year old I should clarify). You get to learn about a new culture and take a break from the stresses of life. As I answer my clients emails I’m already thinking, where to next?

Having trips planned gives me something to look forward to and makes the grind worth it. I know that seems dramatic. My real life really is great to and I’m definitely just having post-vacation blue’s. But let me tell you I would do anything to be three long islands deep shouting the lyrics to “I wanna dance with somebody” in a foreign club across the ocean. In that moment I peaked. The morning after was a different story altogether hahaha.

If any of you are planning on traveling soon let me know. I’d love to tell you more about my trip to Spain if you’re considering that as an option. Adios amigos!
