Stop Waiting for the Right Time

I’m naturally the type of person who puts things off in both my professional and personal life. It’s not one of my good qualities but it is what it is. I always think “I’ll just do it tommorow”. Well “tommorow” turns into days, then weeks, next thing I know a month has passed and I still haven’t done it.

One of my goals after graduating was to move to a big city. I had a job lined up and everything but ended up taking the “smart” option. I took the job close to home, lived with my parents, and saved money. Now I don’t believe in regrets and truly believe that’s what I was meant to do at the time. I met so many wonderful people, including my now boyfriend, which would have never happened if I hadn’t stayed. However I got comfortable. My goal of moving to a city slowly getting pushed to the back burner more and more. I ended up living at home for 2 1/2 years before moving to the city.

Another example is me writing this blog. I haven’t written a blog in MONTHS. I kept saying “oh yea, I’ll do it later”. Well here I am several months later and finally doing it but I should have done it a long time ago.

The point is we need to stop putting things off! At least I feel that I need to. You can do what you want with your life.

I feel so happy now that I’m writing this blog from my new home (the Windy city). I finally am doing everything I said I would do. But why the heck did I wait so long?
